Ilin Dime Dimovski

From Skopje, Macedonia, Ilin – Dime Dimovski is a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra since Sep. 2010, when he won the audition for a tenured positionJ and moved to Zagreb from Trieste…

He performs regularly as guest co-principal with the Croatian Radio Symphony Orchestra as well as principal with the Croatian Chamber Orchestra and the Nuova Orchestra da Camera Ferruccio Busoni from Trieste.

Ex section leader of the international No Borders Orchestra, the Solisti in Villa String ensemble and the San Marco Foundation Symphony Orchestra; has also performed as guest section bass with the Novosibirsk State Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra del Teatro Verdi di Trieste and l’Orchestra Mozart di Bologna with Maestro Claudio Abbado.

Dimovski studied with professor Blagoj Marotov at the Music and Ballet High School in Skopje; David Heyes at the Junior Trinity College of Music and Rinat Ibragimov at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London; he also holds an undergraduate and a Masters degree from the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Tartini” in Trieste where he studied with Maestro Stefano Sciascia and was a scholarship recipient from the Accademia Mozart di Bologna under the artistic leadership of Maestro Claudio Abado and professors: Alois Posch, Enrico Bronzi, Sergei Krylov and Alexander Lonquich.

A regular chamber music guest on many renowned regional festivals such as the Zagreb Biennale, Maribor and Ljubljana festivals, Portogruaro, Ohrid Summer, Kotor Art… he has also performed in some of the most “prestigious” concert halls worldwide; from the Brucknerhaus in Linz and the Festival Hall in Brisbane to the Drakstor in Belgrade and the Berghain in Berlin.

He appears on several recordings for Deutsche Grammophone, Universal Records, Parma Recordings, Naxos, Rainbow; Brilliant Classics and Amadeus Records.

Since 2018, professor Dimovski is double bass and Chamber Music teacher at the Jeunesses Musicales International Summer School in Grožnjan, Croatia.
